Until recently, one sure thing about baking a cake was that it would come out bearing a big, fluffy hump.  This wasn’t bad necessarily.  Said hump was always good on its own, or easily cubed up and layered into festive trifles.  More cake for the effort, some would say!

But there was only so much left over cake you could have lying around.  And if you weren’t particularly knife handy, the seemingly simple task of leveling your cake often yielded very odd results.  Even if you tried to comfort yourself with the idea that maybe… just maybe… the final product could look even with a perfect frosting job, you knew better.  The cake itself had to be in top form.

With those frustrations in mind, the innovative folks at Wilton put their heads together and came up with the ideal solution.  Introducing Wilton Bake Even Cake Strips!

WILTON  BAKE  EVEN  CAKE  STRIPS

Just moisten these reusable strips, and wrap them snugly around the sides of your cake pans.  Then, cook as usual!  Your cakes will come out perfectly formed every time.  So many modern home bakers swear by these strips now.  Use any shape pan you want, however many times you need.  Wilton Bake Even Cake Strips are easy, affordable, and (best of all) foolproof!
