We love Champion Foods, but also enjoy coming to Ten Li every once in awhile for a change of pace. Ten Li is just next door.

The milk tea is pretty good here, but I would stay away from the Barley Milk Tea. Normally, I like barley tea just fine on its own, but this place doesn’t strain it. You are left with a drink that is sandy in texture… which is no fun for anyone. Iamme’s Thai Tea was okay, but very sugary. The impression we get from this place is that the quality of ingredients in your drinks are sub-par and taste very artificial. Perhaps this is one reason that snow bubble drinks seem to reign supreme at Ten Li.

What I do like about this place is that the owner is unreasonably chipper. I mean, this is the happiest fricken guy you will ever meet… and it kinda makes you feel bad to humor him because you can totally picture him crying alone in the back room when he thinks no one is watching. The service is great, and you get to be the benefactor of this small business’ attentive, friendly approach. There is no loud pop music or teeny bopper employees rushing you through. And most of the drinks are not bad… though you can get them cheaper next door (with the exclusion of snow bubbles).

Note also that the owner will gladly keep your “V.I.P./Frequent Buyer” card on file for you! Also, this place is different from Champion Foods because it doesn’t sell food; It sells dried loose leaf teas and Chinese herbal supplements. Ten Li is rarely busy so if you are interested in learning about these things, the owner will be more than happy to oblige.
