At the Vegas Uncork’d Grand Tasting this year, the folks at Patrón really saved everyone’s evening! Their tangy frozen margaritas helped us forget about the sub-par wine selection.
Even though it was a perfectly balmy dessert night, the energized crowd and camera spotlights heated things up. Patrón did an outstanding job of keeping everyone quenched with their libatious concoctions! No easy task considering the event was huge, and the party-goers extremely thirsty! So, as props to Patrón, I am featuring some of their delicious creations for your mixing pleasure. All are drool-worthy, and some are ridiculously simple.

30ml white Crème de Cacao
30ml heavy cream
Finely ground espresso
Chocolate for garnish
In an ice-filled mixing glass, add Patrón XO Café, white Crème de Cacao, and cream. Shake until well blended. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of ground espresso and chocolate.

Añejo Pacifico
45ml Patrón Añejo
1 oz. passion fruit purée
Juice of one lime
In an ice-filled mixing glass, add ingredients. Shake until well blended. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Raging Bull

1/2 lime
Chilled cola
In an ice-filled 10 oz. highball glass, squeeze half a lime and drop it into the glass. Add Patrón XO Café and chilled cola.

Perfect Patrón Margarita
45ml Patrón Silver
15ml Patrón Citrónage
Orange juice
Juice of 1/2 lime
Sweet & Sour mix

20ml Crème de Cassis

Ginger Beer
Build in an ice-filled lowball, and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lime wedge.
Makes you kind of wish it was already Friday, doesn’t it? The Raging Bull and Añejo Pacifico are definitely going to be next on my list. If you wind up testing one of these recipes this weekend, please let me know how it turned out! Otherwise, stay tuned for a recap of Vegas Uncork’d 2009!
