Tickets are currently on sale for Wally’s 6th annual Central Coast Food & Wine Celebration right here in L.A. Every year, this festival seems to get bigger. This year, they’ve put together an all-star line up of fantastic local eateries, with a wine selection from over sixty Central Coast wineries! With proceeds going to benefit the Michael Bonaccorsi Scholarship Fund at UC Davis, doing good has never been so delicious.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, August 2, from noon to 4 pm, under a tented area adjacent to Wally’s Wine and Spirits. Tastings will include wineries such as: Sea Smoke, Linne Calodo, Fiddlehead, Melville, Brander, and Demetria. Sample a variety of pinot noirs from Ampelos Cellars of Santa Rita Hills, or syrahs and grenaches from Saxum Vineyards of Paso Robles.
Food will be provided by some of L.A.’s most reputable restaurants. Wolfgang Puck, David Lentz, Mario Batali, and Nancy Silverton will be represented, just to name a few. Frank Ostini will also demonstrate the art of grilling on his Santa Maria Barbecue pit, which he will travel down south with from his restaurant, The Hitching Post.
Some restaurants at the tasting will be: AOC, Lucques, Tavern, The Hungry Cat, Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, Campanile, Sushi Roku, Comma Ça, and Spago Beverly Hills.
