I thought about calling this post “Newsbite: Is the Recession Seeing an End?”  But then I realized that any person who could afford a meal in the new Krug Room at Guy Savoy might not even known what a recession is.  So for all you dandies, I’d like to announce the spanking new opening of the Krug Room at Guy Savoy.  That’s right, folks.  After massive success in restaurants all over the jet set world, Krug has formed its first solid gold partnership right here in the U.S.

The Las Vegas location will follow its predecessors as an exclusive, private dining room.  It will offer wine pairings from the House of Krug, and have its own menu with some dishes occasionally made with the world-famous bubbly.  I must say that this new room seems lovelier than even the ones in London and Tokyo.  The Krug Room in Hong Kong’s Mandarin Oriental possibly comes in at a tie.

According to Guy Savoy Restaurant Group and Caesar’s Palace:

“This private dining room is an exclusive enclave where guests can gather and enjoy an evening of superb cuisine, stimulating conversation and exceptional Champagne from the House of Krug. The Krug Room features contemporary art and elegant Krug-brand accessories along with an ever-changing seasonal menu. This summer, enjoy six courses of Chef Savoy’s world-renowned tastes, including Colors of Caviar and Crispy Sea Bass with Delicate Spices. These dishes are paired with various Krug vintages from 1985 through 1995, creating a perfect fusion of flavors.”
