After a summer of anticipation, Emeril Lagasse’s newest venture opened to packed crowds at the Palazzo in Las Vegas this past holiday weekend. The sports bar, called Lagasse’s Stadium, took over what used to be the tower’s Race & Sports Book. Finally, a place where I can eat salmon tartar with one hand, and wave a giant foam finger with the other!

According to the webpage, Lagasse’s Stadium “combines Emeril Lagasse’s signature cuisine with over 100 HD TVs including 9ft x 16ft main TV, luxury boxes, plush stadium-style seating, billiard tables, and an outdoor patio just steps from the Strip.” You’ll also be able to play poker, blackjack, craps, billiards, and video games. Talk about sensory overload!
The menu is pretty varied too, no doubt keeping the kitchen staff at the brink of going nuts. The offerings are generally American with with some eclectic flair. Nachos with grilled chicken or BBQ pork are $12 bucks. BBQ salmon is $20, and grilled ribeye steaks will run you close to $30 bucks a piece.
The new restaurant seems to emphasize domestic beers and especially cocktails. Several mixed drinks, for instance, can be ordered by the pitcher. Beer, on the other hand, must be ordered individually or by the bucket (bucket of individuals!!). The good news: There are some cheap values and weekday Happy Hour promos, as well!
